The Renovation Plans

I promise renovation pictures are coming soon, it has been a fast and furious week. The following are our plans for the renovation, and many are already on their way to being completed. One major item we wanted was an open floor concept, this house as the potential but needs major renovation for this to happen.

Master Bedroom – Remove door to outside, update flooring, new paint, and update master closet

Master Bathroom – Update sink fixtures, paint, and flooring. Adding another cabinet, and updating lighting. In phase II or III of our plan, we will expand the Master Bathroom. 

Kitchen / Utility Room / Dining Room – This is a major renovation.

• Gut the kitchen completely; expand 2 feet into the garage, 3 feet into current utility and dining room.
• Create an opening to see into the living room
• Remaining Utility and Dining Room – Pantry, and will house freezer and other large appliances.
• New cabinets, counter, back splash, flooring, and paint

Garage – Converted into a multipurpose room including laundry and office space. In our phase III plans we will build a new garage.

Breakfast Nook – Expand onto back porch and converted into dining area with open floor concept. Room triangle wall and create a straight way. This wall was created to give the design of the breakfast nook, since we are straightening the breakfast nook, it is no longer needed. We will also need new flooring and pain.

Living Room – Expand onto back porch, new paint and flooring, close up current hallway entry and use outside door in the hallway as the new entry point.

Hallway – New flooring and paint

Room #5 (Red curtain room) – This will be our little one’s playroom. We will update flooring and paint only in this room. New closet door as well.

Room #4 (Light blue walls) – This is our middle girl’s room and it needs a little work. We are having to replace sheetrock, trim, closet fixtures, new flooring, and paint. New closet door as well.

Bathroom #2 – Remove wall paper, add texture, new paint, update fixtures, add a cabinet in the bath area. This area does not need new flooring,

Room #3 (White curtain in the room) – This is our oldest girl’s room. We are only painting, and updating flooring. New closet door as well.

Room #2 (Purple and Yellow Room) – Removing built ins and expand the closet, remove wall paper boarder, new flooring, and paint.

Backyard – We will be expanding the porch since part of it will become the living room and dining room. Also we plan to add a privacy fence as well. We also are having foundation concrete poured in the back over the porch. 

I think I captured most of the changes. We have started on almost every room, which friends and family assisting where needed. I am surprise how fast we are moving along with this project.
