Day 51

We really moved forward this weekend. I felt like we had been standing still for so long, and now we are finally completing things. All the wiring and plumbing took so long, and not a whole lot to show for it. Now we are working on things that you can see.

Today was paint day. We mostly worked on cabinets, priming walls, and painting shelves. For the cabinets that are going to the pantry, we are painting them blue and are going to distress them. They will look antique by the time they are completely done. We had 5 paint stations set up, and it was a big help having the girls there to knock it all out.

Mark and my brother in law worked on closing the hallway off, and making sure both sides look similar. One is going to be longer than the other, but I think it will look good because the design will be the same.

They had also finished opening up the new hallway entry. This will be nice when we bring in furniture.

That evening a storm came through, and we had a really pretty view of the storm rolling in.
