Day 61

We are still working on putting things back together. We are almost finished with the cabinets for the pantry, sheet rocking, and the girls' bathroom.

The girls' bathroom is coming along. These pictures show a truer color of the paint they picked out. I think it is going to be pretty once we add all the oil rubbed bronze items, and stain there cabinets.

Pantry Cabinets:

Sheet Rock!! Living Room and Master Bedroom. We added a pocket door to the bathroom instead of having it open. Mark and I get up at different times, this way we will not wake each other up.

Day 60 - Two Months

I cannot believe it has been 60 days already. I feel like we are getting closer and wrapping up rooms in the house. We almost have the girls' bathroom done. These pictures are closer to the color they picked out, than the previous pictures. Mark also put up there new light which made a big difference.  I also worked on the pantry room cabinets and we added more sheet rock. I am going to start taping and floating on Wednesday when I go back. Also, while we were at the house a beautiful double rainbow showed up.

Girl's bathroom:

Pantry Cabinets - Wrapping these up. Next is the upper cabinet that needs to be painted.

Mark and my father in law sheet rocking:

My mother in law worked on the pantry for a few hours. We are going to remove the light, but I am not sure what kind of light I want just yet.

Double Rainbow. What a perfect ending to our 60 days renovation.

Day 59

Well tomorrow is 2 months since we bought the house. I cannot believe how far we have come. Also, I painted so much the day before my hands swelled up in the middle of the night where my rings were cutting off the circulation to my fingers. That was completely crazy, my hands are killing me.

Today I did not work much at the house because I had to take care of a few things in Waco, yes including a stop to Home Depot. I needed to find a dress for a formal event we have in a few weeks. I was in luck, I found my dress at the first stop.

Then when I return to the house. I worked on gluing the cabinet draw together, add another layer to the cabinets, and added hardware to the finish cabinets.

We also started to paint the girls' bathroom. Before I post the picture there is a disclaimer, one the color is coral, the pictures does not do it justice and two we will be adding some items in the room to tone it down. Yes, it is a little bring, but this is what the girls were going for in the bathroom. I think once it is finished it will be beautiful. The bottom picture if closer to the color. In the top picture we do not have light in that area so it did not come through very well.

While I was in Waco, Mark, my father in law, and brother in law finished the sheet rock in the new built out part of the house.

Day 58

Today was a very busy day. Mark and my brother in law helped put up trim in the bedrooms. The crew came and textured the walls. They said my sheet rock taping and floating skills were impressive. They were surprise I did so well. My brother in law helped finish connecting up all the internet cable we ran through the walls, to replace all the telephone cables. We were painting doors, cabinets, and trim and painted walls late in the evening. The house is finally coming together.

Trim:

Texturing Walls

Doors, Trim, and Cabinets:

These cabinets are being distressed for an antique look and will go into the pantry. The other cabinets will go in the multipurpose room and they will be white.

More sheet rocking:

Painting the pantry and master bathroom:

I am going for a spa blue color here and it will have slate gray wood plank titles.

As always, little bit needs entertainment.

We also wore out little bit. After her bath we ate supper, and then she crawled up on the couch and passed out.
